He predicted that this year China's demand for rubber increased by 12% in 2009 and 2010 will increase by 10%.

According to Chinese customs statistics, China's 2006 natural rubber imports to 1,610,000 tons, year-on-year growth reached 14.6 percent; imports of synthetic rubber imports 1,300,000 tons, up 19.2 percent.
