Experts predict that Thailand: 5 years later, Thailand rubber production will be surplus

Thailand Hosei University Center for Business consultants revealed that the rubber production in 2012 will increase to 4,570,000 tons. Add in the future China may reduce imports of rubber from Thailand because the country has been promoting the domestic rubber plantation. Thailand hopes to step up the official search for more measures to deal with the problem.

Thailand Hosei University Center for Business card consultant Philip Lee pointed out that according to government policy, in the 2004-2006 period issued to the rubber seedling in the north and north-east of the rubber farmers. The Study Group forecast in 2012 will be higher rubber output to 4,570,000 tons, of which 960,000 came from the southern top of 3,000 tons, 2,470,000 tons lower end of the southern, central and eastern part of 550,000 tons, 410,000 in the Northeast 2,000 million tons, in the north 180,000 3,000 tons.

La-card Lee said that the official must speed up the search for measures to cope with the rubber production in the future too much. At present, Thailand produced more than 80% of the supply of rubber exports, the primary market is China, because China is the world's largest rubber consumer countries.

La-card Lee also said that Thailand should be the official promotion of research and development of rubber products, including tires, sports equipment, medical rubber gloves in order to enhance the value-added and at the same time reduce the purchase by the Thai rubber prices. Besides, China has to promote rubber cultivation in China, as well as investment in Laos to rubber plantations. China is expected in the future will reduce the imports of rubber from Thailand.
