According to the Ministry of Trade Vietnam Trade Information Center, the first 7 months Vietnam exported 345,000 tons of natural rubber exports 635,000,000 U.S. dollars, respectively, year-on-year growth of 41.6 percent and 113.2 percent.
In the first half of this year, Vietnam exported an average price of natural rubber for 1720 U.S. dollars / ton, higher than the same period last year 500 U.S. dollars / ton. Among them, China is Vietnam's largest natural rubber export market, China exported 164,000 tons; followed by South Korea, 12,300 tons. In 2005, Vietnam exported 574,000 tons of natural rubber, and 787,000,000 U.S. dollars of the total exports, the main exporter to China, South Korea, Japan, Germany and the United States.
Vietnam is the world's fourth biggest natural rubber exporter, plans to its 2010 natural rubber area under cultivation in 2005 from 500,000 hectares to 700,000 hectares, and in the next few years, additional rubber processing plant.
