The world's rubber production and sales growth in China slow rise

World Rubber Study Group's report to the latest statistics (2006 3 April) show that in 2005 the world's rubber consumption reached 20,660,000 t, an increase of 480,000 t, is 4 years, the slowest growth rate of a year, the growth rate of only 2.4%. Consumption from all continents, Asia, South America and European countries outside the European Union and the rapid growth in the region, the slow growth in North America, Africa and the EU is negative growth. In 2005 the world's rubber production reached 20,650,000 t, the basic balance between production and marketing.

Natural rubber consumption growth of small production increase

1. Consumption

In 2005 the world's natural rubber consumption of 8,740,000 t, up 5.1 percent. China, the United States, Japan is the world's major natural rubber consuming country, accounting for the world's total natural rubber consumption by 44% (see Table 1).

As the first natural rubber consuming country, domestic production is far from meeting the demand for natural rubber imports in domestic consumption accounts for 67% of the total. In 2005 due to the typhoon, China's natural rubber output, while still the rapid development of rubber industry, leading to the natural rubber market, further widening the gap, imports amounted to 1,329,000 t, the world's total natural rubber imports by 21%. The United States and Japan, all rely on imports of natural rubber, imports in 2005 were 1,159,000 t and 859,000 t; Thailand, India and Malaysia are the major natural rubber producing countries, the proportion of little import; Brazilian rubber industry has developed rapidly, imports of natural rubber Also significant growth (see Table 2).

2. Production

2005 World natural rubber output of 8,680,000 t, up 0.4 percent. The world's three major natural rubber producing countries, Thailand and Malaysia are the output of negative growth, only 9.9 percent growth in Indonesia. Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia in the world natural rubber exports to maintain absolute superiority of the total export volume of 84%, of which Thailand accounted for more than 40% (see Table 3, Table 4).

Synthetic rubber production and sales were slow growth

1. Consumption

2005 World consumption of synthetic rubber 11,920,000 t, up 0.5 percent; synthetic rubber consumption of the total rubber consumption accounted for 57.7 percent, up 1% lower. China, the United States, Japan is also the world's major consumer of synthetic rubber, synthetic rubber accounting for the world's total consumption of 48%. 2. Production

The 2005 World slowly synthetic rubber consumption growth, coupled with the high price of crude oil floating, production of synthetic rubber led to negative growth in output was 11,965,000 t, year-on-year 0.1 percent lower. In 2005 China's rubber industry, as well as the rapid development of domestic natural rubber production has accelerated the shortage of synthetic rubber production growth, growth rate of 10% of the production of more than Japan, the second highest in the world, while China has become Asia's largest producer of synthetic rubber . 2005 France's rubber consumption to reduce its lead to reduced production of synthetic rubber, 15% year-on-year decline. 2005 World synthetic rubber production and export statistics in Table 7, Table 8.

From the world's rubber production and consumption analysis, the 2005 World rubber consumption is slightly larger than the output of natural rubber in which the gap is 60,000 t, leading to reduced inventories of natural rubber. Synthetic rubber production and consumption of more than 50,000 t. Thus the overall analysis of supply and demand from the world rubber supply and demand in balance. At present, according to the International Organization of rubber in the world rubber production and sales forecasts for 2006 World rubber consumption to continue to grow steadily to exceed 21,000,000 t. At the same time, natural rubber and synthetic rubber production will be increased by 4.4 percent and 4.7 percent.
