The main industry officials predicted last Friday that the global synthetic rubber in 2010 (18005,5,0.03%) consumption is expected to reach 15,580,000 tons, mostly as a result of countries such as China and India's increased demand for automobile tires and demand has been increasing.
BST Elastomers company's Marketing Manager Sukit Ungpakorn said the growth in demand for synthetic rubber tire industry mainly depends on the growth of automobile production in 2007 estimated 7.72 percent increase over last year, to 1,280,000.
Ungpakorn is an international manufacturer of synthetic rubber and Statistics Institute, a member of the Committee.
This year, synthetic rubber consumption expected to rise to 13,260,000 tons last year, consumption of 12,620,000 tons.
Industry in meeting the speech, Sukit also forecast the major tire manufacturers in the next five years will be significant expansion of production capacity.
He said China and India's economic growth and the rapid increase in income has put forward the demand for tires.
