Myanmar to expand rubber plantations

Myanmar natural rubber is one of the major export commodities. In recent years, growing from the previous plain, and gradually expand to the hills, valleys and mountainous areas, gradually expand the area under cultivation. In 1988, the rubber plantation area in more than 70,000 hectares; the year 2004-2005, more than 200,000 hectares. According to the forecast ,2007-2008 annual rubber plantation area will increase by 1 times the previous year.
