Asia butadiene rubber up to 4,000 U.S. dollars / ton as a result of cost-butadiene up

It is reported that Asia butadiene rubber (BR) spot prices rose to 4,000 U.S. dollars / ton (CFR) reached its highest level since the Asian energy and raw materials costs continued to rise butadiene.

"In the past month, prices of raw materials butadiene 400 U.S. dollars / ton (260 euros / tonne), resulting in our cost of production increased significantly. We have no choice but to raise the butadiene rubber (BR) cash offer to 4000 U.S. dollars / ton, "an Asian butadiene rubber factory said. Butadiene spot prices in July rose to 3,000 U.S. dollars / ton (CFR) in Asia, over the last month, up about 400-500 U.S. dollars / ton, according to global chemical market intelligence service icis pricing system. Due to the continuing rise in spot prices of butadiene, butadiene rubber producers in the third quarter has been revised contract offer to supply 3800 U.S. dollars / ton, from the earlier initiative of the contract price increase of about 300 U.S. dollars / ton.

However, downstream from the tire manufacturer of resistance is still higher. "The biggest problem is squeezing the profit margins. Tire demand has been slowing down, we can not accept the 3800 U.S. dollars / ton bid, not to mention 4,000 U.S. dollars / ton price," a major Japanese tire maker said.
