U.S. Department of Commerce decided to import from China of off-road tire tax

U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce Department) Tuesday the final decision on imports from China of cross-country tire tax.

If the U.S. International Trade Commission (International Trade Commission, referred to as the ITC) approved the import of such tires subject to a maximum of 210.48 percent anti-dumping duties of up to 14% and countervailing duties.

Last year, under pressure from Congress, the U.S. Department of Commerce to China to launch countervailing duty investigation. ITC approved last month for the first time on steel pipe imported from China imposed countervailing duties and anti-dumping duties.

ITC is expected to be on August 21 after the duty on imported tires to determine the case.
