According to Vietnam "investment" is reported that at present, Vietnam has a rubber plantation area of about 500,000 hectares, resulting in 400,000 tons of plastic. By 2010, plans to expand the area of rubber plantations to 700,000 hectares, rubber-year-old production to 520,000 tons.
According to statistics from related departments, Vietnam, Vietnamese rubber exports in 2004 amounted to 596,000,000 U.S. dollars, representing an increase of nearly 58% last year. 2005 Jan-Apr rubber exports amounted to 196,000,000 U.S. dollars, up 24.4 percent. The largest export market in China, accounting for 59% of exports; followed by South Korea accounted for 5.4 percent, in Taiwan, accounting for 3.7 percent, Germany accounted for 3.6 percent. At present, Vietnam's rubber output of 90% of export and domestic sales account for only about 10% of the total output, the more planned by 2010 in the domestic market demand will be increased to 30% of the total output.
